While it won’t be the star-studded list seen last weekend, Clemson will once again host a number of recruits on Saturday when the eighth-ranked Tigers host Troy.
One of the biggest names set to be on hand is the top in-state player for the 2028 class. Five-star Jordan Gorham (Timberland) tells The Clemson Insider he plans to attend. The 6-foot-4 wideout camped at Clemson over the summer, and a few of his offers include South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Nebraska and Georgia Tech. Gorham ranks as a five-star in the Composite Rankings and as one of the Top 10 receivers in the class. He also ranks as the top player in the state.
Another big one is 2028 in-state four-star WR Trey Wimbley (Daniel), who also told TCI he plans to be back on campus. The 6-foot wideout is making his second consecutive game-day visit, as he was also on hand for the LSU game. Wimbley currently holds offers from Ole Miss and SMU, among others. He ranks No. 52 overall in the Composite Rankings and No. 11 among all wide receivers. He also ranks No. 2 in the state.
2028 four-star CB Nate Dollard (Charlotte Country Day, NC) also tells TCI he plans to visit. The 6-foot prospect picked up an offer from Georgia last weekend, with Florida State, Tennessee, North Carolina and NC State being a few of the others to have already offered. 247 ranks Dollard No. 60 overall and No. 6 among all corners in his class.
2028 in-state wideout Teru Davis Jr. (Summerville) will be on hand. The 6-foot recruit holds offers from Virginia Tech and East Carolina, among others.
2028 TE Henry Davis (Rolesville, NC) will be in attendance. The 6-foot-2 prospect holds an offer from Charlotte, with Duke, Kentucky and Louisville being some of the schools to have showed early interest.
Another one of the visitors is a young, 2029 in-state QB. Khayel Sam Fong-Talia (Dillon) will be making his first game-day visit of any kind. Sam Fong-Talia just nabbed his first offer from BYU on Labor Day after a sizzling start to the season.
2029 in-state TE/WR Chase Wimpey (Easley) also plans to attend.
UPDATE: Gorham informed TCI Saturday morning that he had a change of plans and will be at Florida instead.
