CLEMSON — While Clemson is set to play its first road game of the season on Saturday, that doesn’t mean the contest won’t have some implications on the recruiting front.
There will be multiple recruits who either have an offer from the Tigers or are potential future targets who will be on hand in Atlanta.
At the top of the list is 2027 four-star safety target Chance Gilbert (East Cowetta). Clemson handed out one of its opening offers to Gilbert, who Rivals tabs as the top safety in the class.
2027 three-star DT Jaden Wuerth (Dutch Fork) is also scheduled to be in attendance. Wuert, who does not have an offer from the Tigers, was on hand for the season-opening loss to LSU. The Yellow Jackets have offered, as have Miami, Penn State and South Carolina.
“It went good. I liked it a lot,” Wuerth told The Clemson Insider after the visit. “Especially the atmosphere. It was electric, for sure. And it was good seeing coach (Nick) Eason, coach (Tom) Allen, and all the coaches again.”
2028 three-star in-state DE Christian Webb-Scott (Westside) is set to visit for the game. Webb-Scott used to play at Georgia powerhouse Buford. He already has more than 30 offers, including Georgia, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami and Michigan.
2028 QB Grayson Clary will also be in attendance. Clary was the starter at nearby Daniel last season before transferring to Rabun Gap (GA). Clary last visited Clemson for the opener against LSU. Ole Miss and Oregon are his two Power-4 offers to this point.
