Tigers Plummet Out of AP Poll

The latest AP Top 25 Poll was released Sunday after Week 3 of the college football season.

As expected, Clemson (1-2) plummeted out of the AP Top 25 following its 24-21 loss to Georgia Tech in Saturday’s ACC opener for both teams at the Yellow Jackets’ Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta.

Clemson was ranked No. 12 in the AP Poll entering Week 3.

The Tigers came into the 2025 campaign ranked No. 4 in the preseason AP Poll, but are now 1-2 to start a season for the first time since 2014, Deshaun Watson’s freshman year.

Clemson is still among the teams outside the top 25 of the AP Poll receiving votes, with the Tigers getting six votes.

Clemson returns to action this Saturday against Syracuse at Memorial Stadium (12 p.m., ABC or ESPN).
