Clemson running back Adam Randall has had a knack for finding the end zone this season, and he’s put himself in elite company because of that.
Randall has six total touchdowns through the first five games this season (three rushing, three receiving) and has scored at least one touchdown in every game so far this season.
In doing so, Randall has become the first Clemson player to score a touchdown in each of the first five games of a season since Travis Etienne in 2018.
Randall is coming off a game against North Carolina last Saturday where he rushed eight times for 30 yards and caught four passes for a career-high 73 yards and a career-high two receiving touchdowns.
He is the first Clemson running back to catch two touchdowns in a single game since Etienne in the 2019 Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State.
Including a touchdown reception against Syracuse, Randall became the first Tiger running back to record a touchdown reception in back-to-back games since C.J. Spiller in 2009 against Florida State and NC State.
A long-time receiver, Randall contributed at running back prior to the 2024 College Football Playoff before making the permanent position switch this year.
So far this season, the 6-foot-2, 235-pounder has rushed for 368 yards and three touchdowns on 65 carries (5.7 average), to go with 154 receiving yards and three touchdown receptions on 17 catches. It’s already more touchdown receptions than he recorded (two) as a wide receiver from 2022-24.
Randall and the Tigers return to action this Saturday at Boston College (7:30 p.m., ACC Network).
