Clemson Suffers Second Decommitment In 2026 Class

Clemson has suffered its second decommitment in the 2026 class.

Four-star safety Blake Stewart (Woodward Academy, GA) has decommitted from the Tigers. He committed back in July, choosing Clemson over Michigan, Miami and Vanderbilt.

Rumors were swirling about Stewart decommitting in September, but those had died down in recent weeks. Miami has never stopped recruiting him, and reports have surfaced that Stewart “quietly” visited Miami earlier this season.

Stewart ranks No. 393 overall in the Rivals Industry Rankings and No. 35 among all safeties in the class.

The 6-foot-1 defensive back becomes the second player to decommit from Clemson in this recruiting cycle, joining four-star DE Dre Quinn, who defected in September. Stewart was one of three safeties committed.

That leaves Clemson with 20 verbal pledges in a class that ranks in the Top 15 nationally.
