Things are starting to feel eerily similar to last year.
Clemson has now suffered a third decommitment, with four-star DT Keshawn Stancil flipping to Miami. The 6-foot-3, 270-pounder committed to the Tigers back in June, choosing Clemson over schools like Georgia, Penn State, Tennessee and Miami.
“The culture is really great there,” Stancil told TCI after he announced. “The hospitality is great. Most head coaches, it’s like ‘hey, nice to meet you.’ But coach Swinney… he is going to open up with open arms. He is just going to love you from the time you get there until the time you leave. I love coach Swinney.”
This is the second decommitment for Clemson this week and the third since the start of the season. This comes after the program suffered seven in the last class, with six of those coming late in the cycle.
Stancil’s loss is also another big one. He was one of two defensive tackles committed in the class, with Rivals ranking him No. 120 overall and among the 10 best defensive linemen in the class. He joins three-star DE Dre Quinn and three-star S Blake Stewart as players to have decommitted from Clemson this season.
The Tigers’ 2026 class now features 20 verbal pledges and was ranked No. 15 nationally before Stancil’s announcement.
