A top in-state talent will once again be in Clemson this weekend.
2028 RB Michael Martin II (Christ Church) tells The Clemson Insider that he plans to visit when the Tigers host Duke on Saturday.
“I’m looking forward to just being back,” Martin told TCI. “Seeing Coach Spiller and Coach Zow, spending time with them. The more time I spend with them, the stronger our relationship gets. I just like seeing everyone there at Clemson, and every time I’m back, I feel like I am more of a priority to them.”
Martin has become a regular visitor and has been on hand for three of Clemson’s home games this season, including two weeks ago when plans to be at Duke were scrapped and he visited for the Tigers’ game against SMU.
Ranked as the top running back in the state by Prep Red Zone, Martin has rushed for 1,069 yards over nine games with 21 touchdowns. He has gone over the century mark five times. He is averaging more than 140 all-purpose yards per game.
Syracuse, Wake Forest, Duke, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Miami and Texas A&M have all offered.
