After its bye week, Clemson slid up several spots in this national outlet’s college football rankings.
Coming off last weekend’s open date, the Tigers (3-4, 2-3 ACC) now sit at No. 53 in the latest CBS Sports 136 rankings of every team in the FBS.
Clemson was previously No. 58 in the CBS Sports 136 rankings after the 35-24 loss vs. SMU on Oct. 18. The Tigers started the season at No. 4 in the same rankings. They’re now one spot behind Wake Forest at No. 52, and one spot ahead of UCF at No. 54.
Clemson is set to host Duke on Saturday at Memorial Stadium (12 p.m., ACC Network). The Blue Devils (4-3, 3-1 ACC) are ranked No. 35 in the latest CBS Sports 136.
Georgia Tech (No. 8) is the highest-ranked ACC team, while Miami (No. 9), Louisville (No. 15) and Virginia (No. 20) are the other ACC teams in the top 25 of the updated CBS Sports 136.
Clemson is the ninth highest-ranked ACC team, behind Georgia Tech, Miami, Louisville, Virginia, Pittsburgh (No. 30), Duke, SMU (No. 45) and Wake Forest.
