Bakich Lands Another Huge Commitment

CLEMSON — Erik Bakcih continues to remain extremely hot on the recruiting trail, as one of the top players in the country has committed to Clemson.

2027 RHP Chubb Jones Jr. has announced a verbal pledge to the Tigers. The 6-foot-4 prospect also plays the infield.

“I am extremely blessed to announce my commitment to Clemson University to further my baseball and academic career,” Jones posted to Instagram. “I want to thank my family, without y’all, this wouldn’t have been possible! To all the coaches that were with me throughout my journey, THANK you for everything! Finally, I would like to thank the entire Clemson coaching staff for this opportunity!!”

Baseball America ranks Jones, whose fastball has already been clocked as high as 97 mph, as the fifth-best player in the class, and he scores a grade of 10 at Perfect Game. His commitment now gives Clemson five players in the 2027 class that rank inside the Top 100.
