Clemson used a flea flicker to extend its lead in tonight’s game against Florida State at Memorial Stadium.
Quarterback Cade Klubnik handed the ball off to running back Adam Randall, who tossed it back to Klubnik, who avoided pressure in the backfield and then heaved it downfield to wide receiver Antonio Williams in the end zone.
Williams leapt up and hauled in a 34-yard touchdown grab that extended the Tigers’ lead over the Seminoles to 15-0 with 12:01 remaining in the second quarter.
The touchdown came just two plays after FSU went for it on fourth-and-2 at its own 39-yard line but didn’t convert after wide-open tight end Randy Pittman Jr. dropped a pass, resulting in a turnover on downs.
