College Gameday Analysts Give Their Picks for Clemson-FSU

The College GameDay selections are in for Week 11 of the college football campaign.

ESPN’s College GameDay crew has made their picks for tonight’s matchup between Clemson (3-5, 2-4 ACC) and Florida State (4-4, 1-4 ACC) at Memorial Stadium.

Clemson comes in as a 1.5-point favorite on the spread for the game (7 p.m., ACC Network).

Clemson is 16-21 all-time against Florida State, including a 9-9 mark at Death Valley. Last season, the Tigers beat the Seminoles, 29-13, in Tallahassee.

Clemson has won eight of its last nine meetings with Florida State, including four straight wins in Tallahassee and a 4-1 mark at Death Valley.  FSU won the most recent meeting at Clemson – 31-24 in overtime on Sept. 23, 2023.

You can see the picks from the College GameDay analysts below:

Desmond Howard: Clemson

“I was surprised we were actually picking this game because they’re having such a bad season, both [teams]. … Because the Tigers are at home, I’m going to go with Clemson.”

Nick Saban: Clemson

“Both teams have had disappointing seasons, no doubt. But I just think that Dabo will do a good job of teaching this team how to learn in a difficult circumstance. I’m going to go with Clemson.”

Pat McAfee: Florida State

“Florida State absolutely pounded Wake last week. I think they might have found a little something. Give me Florida State to get the win in Clemson.”

Patrick Mahomes (Guest Picker): Clemson

“I’m just going to say that the kids are going to play for Dabo. They’ve had a tough season, but you can tell those guys are still inspired to go out there and play football. So, I’ll take Clemson.”

Kirk Herbstreit: Clemson

“Clemson, this is just uncharted territory. They’re not used to this. Cade Klubnik, who, as far as Texas high school football is concerned, one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play here. I’m going with Clemson. Running down that hill, they win this one.”
