A local in-state talent has added an offer from Clemson.
Four-star in-state WR Trey Wimbley (Daniel) announced an offer from the Tigers via a social media post. Wimbley also announced that he would be reclassifying from the 2028 class to the 2027 class.
The 6-foot-1 wideout has been a frequent visitor to Clemson, having taken multiple game-day visits this season. He is just the third receiver in the 2027 to nab an offer from the Tigers.
“They just make you feel at home,” Wimbley told The Clemson Insider in a recent interview. “They are just a good program. Every time I go there, they make me feel welcome.”
Ole Miss and SMU are two of the other Power-4 programs to have already offered.
Before announcing he would reclass, 247 ranked Wimbley No. 51 overall in the 2028 class and No. 12 among all receivers. He also ranked No. 2 in the state.
