Updated Line Has Clemson as Underdog at South Carolina

The updated line for Clemson’s game against rival South Carolina has been released.

The Tigers (6-5) are currently a 2.5-point road underdog against the Gamecocks (4-7), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The contest at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia on Saturday is set to kick off at noon and will be televised on SEC Network.

Clemson has won each of its last five road games at South Carolina across the 2015-23 seasons, and a win would give the Tigers six straight road wins against the Gamecocks for the first time since winning in Columbia six straight times across the 1989-99 seasons.

Clemson is 18-6 against the Gamecocks at Williams-Brice Stadium since 1977.

The Tigers are looking to avenge last season’s 17-14 loss to the Gamecocks at Memorial Stadium.

Clemson is 7-2 against South Carolina in the last 10 years, with the two schools not meeting in 2020 due to a cancellation because of COVID. Clemson has won eight of the last 10 meetings in the rivalry overall, though South Carolina has won two of the last three meetings, both at Clemson. The Tigers lead 73-44-4 in the all-time series.

Clemson is coming off a 45-10 win over Furman on Saturday at Memorial Stadium, while South Carolina defeated Coastal Carolina, 51-7, at Williams-Brice Stadium.
