Clemson Strikes First at South Carolina, Gamecocks Answer

Clemson struck first in today’s game against rival South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.

The Tigers dented the scoreboard first, putting the first points on the board early in the second quarter.

Adam Randall ran to the right sideline and dove into the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown to give Clemson a 7-0 lead at the 12:37 mark of the second period.

Cade Klubnik hit T.J. Moore for a 31-yard completion to get the drive started, and Antonio Williams later hauled in a 26-yard pass from Klubnik on a key third-and-6 play to extend the drive.

However, South Carolina quickly answered back to tie the game at 7, when LaNorris Sellers heaved a bomb downfield to Nyck Harbor for a 53-yard touchdown with 11:14 to play in the second quarter.
