Woods Claps Back at SC Fans

COLUMBIA, S.C. — After South Carolina went into Clemson last season and got a last-minute touchdown to knock off the Tigers, some members of the Gamecocks’ fan base made their way down to the field at Memorial Stadium and whipped the Paw logo at the 50-yard line with their belts.

It appears that Clemson’s Peter Woods has not forgotten.

The junior defensive tackle took to X (formerly known as Twitter) shortly after the Tigers went into Williams-Brice and knocked off the Gamecocks 28-14 to post what appeared to be a reminder to that moment a season ago.

While Woods didn’t register a tackle in the win, the junior was plenty disruptive, helping to limit South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers to just two rushing yards on 12 attempts. While Sellers was able to hit some plays in the passing game, it wasn’t enough as Clemson won for the ninth time in the past 11 meetings.
