Clemson Baseball Suffers Third Portal Defection

CLEMSON — Clemson baseball has lost a third player to the transfer portal.

The Clemson Insider has learned that sophomore third infielder Josh Castellani has entered the transfer portal. The current window opened on Monday and runs through December 15.

Castellani, a native of St. Petersburg, FL, saw limited action as a freshman last season, going 0-for-5 at the plate in six appearances.

Coming out of Hollins High School, the left-handed hitting Castellani was ranked No. 333 overall by Perfect Game and No. 27 among all third basemen in his class.

Castellani joins catchers Steele Burd and Skyler Hegler as players to have entered the portal in the past two days.
