Ravens Coach Gives Injury Update on Former Tiger

This former Clemson standout suffered an injury during his NFL team’s Week 13 matchup.

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins left the Ravens’ Thanksgiving loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the third quarter due to a foot injury.

The good news is that Wiggins’ injury is not serious, in terms of a long-term injury, according to Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, who provided the latest injury update on Wiggins on Monday.

“Nate’s day-to-day right now,” Harbaugh said. “We’ll see where he’s at on Wednesday and we’ll see where he’s at going forward from there.”

Wiggins is now in his second NFL season following a strong rookie campaign in 2024 after being drafted by Baltimore in the first round (30th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Wiggins has a team-leading three interceptions this season, to go with nine passes defended and 47 total tackles, including two tackles for loss. He has played in all 12 of his team’s games, starting 11 of them.

In 15 regular season games as a rookie last season, Wiggins tallied 33 tackles, 13 passes defended, a forced fumble and his first career interception – a pick-six in Baltimore’s Week 18 win over the Cleveland Browns. The former first-team All-ACC selection added six more tackles and a quarterback hit in two playoff games.

In his career at Clemson from 2021-23, Wiggins recorded 50 tackles (3.0 for loss), 24 pass breakups, three interceptions (including two returned for touchdowns), two forced fumbles, a sack and a blocked field goal over 34 games (18 starts).

Up next for the Ravens (6-6) is a big divisional matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-6) this Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. The two teams are tied atop the AFC North entering Week 14.
