Former Clemson Commit Headed to SEC School

A former Clemson commitment is headed to an SEC school.

Woodward Academy (Ga.) safety Blake Stewart signed with Georgia on Wednesday. He chose the Bulldogs over Vanderbilt and Miami.

Stewart committed to Clemson back in July, choosing Clemson over Michigan, Miami and Vanderbilt, before decommitting from the Tigers on Oct. 27.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder is rated as a four-star prospect by ESPN, which ranks him as the No. 30 safety in the country for the 2026 class and the No. 46 prospect in the state of Georgia. He is rated as a three-star prospect by both Rivals and 247Sports.

Stewart is one of two former Clemson safety commits to choose other schools on Wednesday, the first day of college football’s early signing period, as four-star safety Kaden Gebhardt (Olentangy, Ohio) flipped to Ohio State.
