A former Clemson defensive lineman was wired for sound in Week 13 of the NFL season.
Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro was mic’d up in his team’s game against the New York Jets last Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
Orhorhoro recorded a solo tackle in the Falcons’ 27-24 loss to the Jets. The 6-foot-4, 295-pounder has played in all 12 of Atlanta’s games this season, making five starts, and has tallied 19 total tackles (two for loss) with 2.5 sacks and three quarterback hits.
As a rookie in 2024, Orhorhoro appeared in eight games and recorded 11 total tackles (one for loss) with a quarterback hit.
During his Clemson career from 2019-23, Orhorhoro racked up 97 tackles (25.5 for loss), 12.0 sacks, nine pass breakups and two fumble recoveries over 53 games (30 starts).
After logging 8.0 tackles for loss and a career-high 5.0 sacks during his redshirt senior season in 2023 en route to third-team All-ACC honors, Orhorhoro became the first defensive player selected by the Falcons in the 2024 NFL Draft when they took him in the second round with the 35th overall pick.
