Another Clemson Tiger has made a decision regarding his future.
Junior defensive tackle Peter Woods announced on Tuesday that he will forgo his senior season and enter the 2026 NFL Draft.
“It has been an honor to wear the paw these last few years, and it will always be a part of me, but the time has finally come,” Woods wrote in a statement.
“I am excited to announce that I will be declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft.”
Woods was a first-team All-ACC selection by both the league and the AP this season. In 12 games (all starts), the 6-foot-3, 310-pounder has tallied 40 total tackles (3.5 for loss), two sacks, two pass breakups and six quarterback pressures while playing 554 defensive snaps. Offensively, he has carried the ball eight times for 15 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns.
Woods entered the 2025 season credited with 59 tackles (11.0 for loss), 3.0 sacks and two forced fumbles in 698 defensive snaps over 23 games (12 starts) from 2023-24.
A 2023 freshman All-American, Woods joined Clemson as ESPN’s No. 9 overall prospect for 2023 after winning four straight state titles in Alabama.
Woods has been widely projected as a first-round pick.
He joins Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell and wide receiver Antonio Williams in declaring for the NFL Draft.
