Clemson RB Set to Enter Transfer Portal

This Clemson running back is set to hit the NCAA transfer portal.

Keith Adams Jr. plans to enter the portal, The Clemson Insider confirmed Tuesday morning. The redshirt junior is the third Tiger that plans to enter the portal. He joins defensive back Shelton Lewis and linebacker Dee Crayton, who decided to transfer last week.

Adams played in 11 games this season, rushing for 71 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries.

A Clemson legacy who finished his prep career in Utah, Adams entered the 2025 campaign with 44 career carries for 203 yards and a touchdown, as well as one reception for 4 yards, in 138 snaps over 21 games from 2022-24.

Adams began his prep career at Cherokee High School in Canton, Ga., before finishing his prep career at Pine View High in St. George, Utah. He earned first-team all-state and all-region honors as a senior in 2021 after rushing for 1,376 yards and 22 touchdowns on 219 carries, while adding 217 yards and a touchdown on 17 receptions.

He is the son of Clemson Hall of Famer Keith Adams, a two-time All-America linebacker who won 1999 ACC Defensive Player of the Year and still holds Clemson single-season records for tackles, tackles for loss and sacks.
