CLEMSON — Following an MRI on Wednesday, it was confirmed that freshman guard Zac Foster suffered a torn ACL during Tuesday’s win over South Carolina. There is no timetable yet for Foster’s return.
“It’s an extremely unfortunate injury for Zac and our team,” said head coach Brad Brownell in a statement released by the school. “Zac is a hard worker and valuable member of our backcourt. I know he will be determined in his rehab and has very bright future ahead of him here in Clemson.”
Foster left early in the contest after suffering a knee injury. Foster walked off of the court under his own power with the help of trainers and took a seat on a table just outside of the locker room.
Ice was then put on the knee before Foster headed for the locker room. He never did return to the court.
After coming in off the bench, Foster played just two minutes in the game before suffering the injury. He scored two points.
The true freshman came into Tuesday night’s action averaging 7.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest.
Foster was ranked as the No. 70 overall prospect in the 2025 class. He was the No. 11 combo guard in the country, according to 247Sports.
