Former Tiger Signed to NFL Team’s Active Roster

The New York Jets announced multiple roster moves on Thursday.

One of those is that they have signed former Clemson defensive tackle Payton Page to their active roster from the practice squad.

Page signed as an undrafted free agent with the Jets in May after not hearing his name called during the 2025 NFL Draft.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder has appeared in two games for the Jets this season, playing five combined defensive snaps and nine total special teams snaps across those contests against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8 and the Cleveland Browns in Week 10.

In preseason action, Page recorded three tackles and a sack for New York.

Page finished his four-year Clemson career (2021-24) credited with 69 tackles (6.5 for loss), a half-sack, two pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and a 57-yard pick-six in 53 career games (14 starts).

He was one of the Tigers’ defensive leaders as a senior in 2024, when earned third-team All-ACC honors after posting 36 tackles (2.5 for loss), 0.5 sacks, a pass breakup and an interception he returned 57 yards for a touchdown over 14 games (all starts).

Page was a part of a Clemson program that won two ACC Championships during his career, including the 2024 season when the Tigers advanced to the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2020.
