Clemson Signee Makes Big Play In All-Star Win

One Clemson signee showed off his play making ability in the Shrine Bowl over the weekend.

Four-star safety Kentavion “Polo” Anderson, who was a finalist for Mr. Football in the state of South Carolina, recorded an interception in the Sandlappers’ 17-7 win over North Carolina in the North-South Shrine Bowl. One reporter on hand described Anderson as being “all over the place” in the game.

The Shrine Bowl is one of the oldest high school All-Star games in the country, pitting the best from North Carolina against South Carolina’s best.

Ranked as a consensus Top 150 recruit, Anderson signed with the Tigers in early December. He earned overall All-State honors after a spectacular senior season at Dorman that saw him record 95 tackles, eight tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, two sacks, an interception that he returned for a touchdown and a fumble recovery.

During his career at Dorman, Anderson was a two-time all-state and three-time all-region pick credited with 265 career tackles, 25 tackles for loss, seven sacks, five forced fumbles, five pass breakups and four interceptions. He also blocked four career kicks and scored three career touchdowns.
