Clemson Signee Taking Home Plenty of Accolades

One of Clemson’s offensive line signees is taking home plenty of hardware after a stellar senior season.

Four-star Carter Scruggs (Loudoun County, VA) was named first-team All-State. He also earned first-team All-Metro honors for the second consecutive season and first-team All-District recognition for the third straight year.

Scruggs did not allow a sack over his final two seasons. He helped lead his team to 12 wins, which ties a program record, as well as an appearance in the state championship game.

The 6-foot-6, 295-pound three-sport athlete committed to Clemson back in June after the big official visit weekend. Michigan, Penn State and Georgia were his other finalists.

“It’s the culture there,” Scruggs recently told TCI. “I know everybody likes to say that, but it really is the culture there. It is like no other. Having a chance to make an early impact is important for me, as well, and I feel like I am going to have a chance to do that.”

Scruggs is one of six offensive linemen signed by the Tigers in the 2026 class, and he will enroll in January.
