Ja’Marr Chase Calls Out Tee Higgins’ Pro Bowl Snub

On Tuesday, Cincinnati Bengals star Ja’Marr Chase was named to the Pro Bowl for the fifth consecutive season since he entered the NFL in 2021.

Chase wonders why his teammate and fellow star wideout, Tee Higgins, didn’t make the Pro Bowl this year as well.

Chase took to social media Wednesday, calling out the fact Higgins was left off the AFC’s Pro Bowl roster.

Chase wants Higgins to get more love.

The Pro Bowl rosters are determined by the combined votes of fans, coaches and players.

Chase was voted as a Pro Bowl starter at wide receiver for the second straight season. Although Higgins wasn’t selected to the Pro Bowl, he was voted as a second alternate, so he could potentially still make the final roster.

Overall, in 13 games this season, Higgins has registered 49 receptions for 720 yards, and he is tied for third in the NFL (and ranks first in the AFC) with his 10 touchdown receptions despite missing a couple of games due to concussions. Chase has five touchdown catches and ranks second in the NFL with 110 receptions and fourth with 1,256 receiving yards.

Along with Chase, the other AFC receivers voted to the 2026 Pro Bowl Games are Nico Collins of the Houston Texans, Zay Flowers of the Baltimore Ravens and Courtland Sutton of the Denver Broncos.

FOX Sports NFL reporter Greg Auman highlighted Higgins as one snub from this year’s Pro Bowl.

“The NFC has such better receivers this year,” Auman wrote. “The four Pro Bowl wide receivers from the NFC have 38 touchdowns, compared to just 20 for the AFC, and that’s with the Rams’ Davante Adams and his 14 touchdowns not making the NFC cut. If I had to bump out an AFC receiver, it would be Baltimore’s Zay Flowers — productive with 78 catches for 1,043 yards, but how do manage two touchdowns all season? Higgins has fewer yards and catches, but he has 10 touchdown catches in 13 games.  Would you rather have 300 more yards, or eight more touchdowns?”

Higgins has never been a Pro Bowler despite being highly productive over his six NFL seasons, including the 2025 campaign. Coming into this season, he had caught 330 passes for 4,595 yards and 34 touchdowns across 70 career regular season games, while recording at least 900 receiving yards in four of his first five seasons, including back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns in 2021 and 2022. Higgins has also appeared in seven playoff games and ranks second in Bengals history in both postseason receptions (31) and postseason receiving yards (457).

Back in March, Higgins signed a four-year deal with Cincinnati worth $115 million. He was drafted by the Bengals in the second round (No. 33 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.
