Add another name to the list of portal players Clemson has been in contact with.
Bowling Green linebacker Gideon “ESPN” Lampron told The Clemson Insider he’s been in contact with the Tigers since the portal opened on Friday.
While Lampron announced offers from Colorado, Oklahoma, Pitt, Louisville, UCF and Virginia on Friday, the Tigers have yet to pull the trigger, and he has not disclosed any visits planned to the school.
The 6-foot, 220-pound junior earned first-team All-MAC honors this season after totaling 119 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, four quarterback hurries and two forced fumbles.
Lampron spent his first three seasons at Dayton, where he was an FCS All-American in 2024, after collecting 23.5 tackles for loss. His 6.5 sacks that season tied for fifth in all of the FCS among linebackers.
With Wade Woodaz out of eligibility, and Dee Crayton and Jamal Anderson transferring out, the Tigers could benefit from another veteran in the room.
