The portal window is now officially open, and the Tigers have lost a player that they had counted on to be a major part of next year’s defense.

Defensive tackle Stephiylan Green is heading to the portal. Green was sidelined with an injury for some of the 2025 season but finished with 18 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He showed flashes of dominance when he was healthy.

Green started six of the 10 games he appeared in during the 2025 season, logging 18 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.

After redshirting in 2023, Green had a breakout campaign the following year, appearing in all but one game, while recording 16 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack.
