Clemson has landed its first portal commitment.
Penn State transfer DB Elliot Washington II has committed to the Tigers after a visit to campus. He also visited Virginia over the weekend.
Washington has spent three seasons with the Nittany Lions, playing for current defensive coordinator Tom Allen in 2024.
The 5-foot-11, 192-pounder appeared in 12 games this season, totaling 18 tackles, an interception and three pass breakups.
Through three seasons, Washington has been credited with 53 tackles, nine passes defended and two interceptions.
According to Pro Football Focus, in 429 career coverage snaps, he’s allowed just one touchdown.
Coming out of high school, as a member of the 2023 class, Elliot was ranked No. 171 overall in the 247 Composite Rankings and No. 12 among all safeties in the class. He had close to 30 offers in total.
