Clemson to Host Multiple Portal Targets On Monday

It’s a busy week in Clemson as the coaching staff will host a number of transfer portal targets on campus throughout the week.

Multiple targets made their way in over the weekend, including Memphis DB Chris Bracy and Penn State DB Elliot Washington. On Monday, several more are expected to arrive.

Old Dominion safety Jerome Carter is one of those players. The sophomore was an All-Conference player in 2025 after logging 75 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss with two pass breakups. He also picked off six passes.

Southern Cal linebacker Matai Tagoa’i is another one of those players visiting on Monday. Tagoa just finished up his freshman season with the Trojans, where he appeared in eight games as a reserve and totaled four tackles. Most of his work came on special teams.

The 6-foot-4 player was a four-star prospect coming out of San Clemente High School (CA), with 247Sports Composite ranking him 102 overall and No. 6 among all linebackers in the 2025 recruiting class. He had more than two dozen offers in total, including Alabama, Georgia, Miami and Michigan.

Another one is Georgia Southern OL Johnnie Brown. The 6-foot-3, 315-pound redshirt junior earned All-Sunbelt honors in 2025 and will have one season of eligibility left. He has already visited West Virginia and Louisville.

West Georgia DT Kourtney Kelly will also visit on Monday. In 2025, Kelly appeared in seven games, logging 10 tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks. He has three years of eligibility remaining. Kentucky is also on the docket for a visit, as is Mississippi State. He has multiple years of eligibility remaining.

Division II defensive tackle Josh Hough will also visit on Monday. Hough has one season of eligibility remaining.

Last season at Pennsylvania Western University, California, Hough recorded 58 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, six sacks, four pass breakups and one fumble recovery. He has spent each of his three seasons at the school.

UCF, Cincinnati and Oklahoma State are other schools that could get a look from the 6-foot-4, 320-pound player.
