A Clemson transfer is reportedly set to visit the Tigers’ in-state rival.

Josh Sapp will visit South Carolina on Friday, according to Inside the Gamecocks.

The redshirt junior tight end entered the NCAA transfer portal after appearing in all 13 games for the Tigers this season. He made one start and recorded 11 catches for 150 yards.

Over his four years at Clemson from 2022-25, Sapp hauled in 24 receptions for 273 yards and two touchdowns in 41 games.

The local product of Greenville, S.C., had a productive career at Greenville High School, where he had 87 career receptions for 1,331 yards and 11 touchdowns, a 15.3 per reception average. He was a Shrine Bowl selection for South Carolina and was rated as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. Rivals ranked him as the No. 12 prospect in the state of South Carolina.

His father, Patrick Sapp, was a starting quarterback for the Tigers his first three years (1992-94), before moving to outside linebacker in 1995.
