Familiar Portal Name Set to Visit Clemson

From high school target to portal target, as a familiar name is set to be on the Clemson campus on Tuesday.

The Clemson Insider has confirmed that Auburn transfer DB Donovan Starr will visit Clemson on Tuesday. Starr told TCI he is expecting to arrive around noon and that as of now this is his only scheduled visit.

Starr, a four-star talent who signed with Auburn as part of the 2025 recruiting class, was also a Clemson target coming out of high school. He took an official visit to campus in June of 2024.

Starr appeared in nine games as a reserve in his debut season, with a lot of his time coming on special teams.

Coming out of high school, 247Sports ranked Starr No. 136 overall and No. 1 in the state of Tennessee. He had more than three dozen offers, with many of the nation’s best programs pulling the trigger.

UPDATE: Starr’s visit has now been pushed back until later in the week. He tells TCI that he will arrive on campus on Thursday evening or Friday morning.
