Lawrence Shines, Sets Franchise Record on Daughter’s Birthday

Former Clemson star Trevor Lawrence shined on Sunday and set a franchise record as the Jacksonville Jaguars locked up a division title in the final week of the NFL regular season.

Lawrence’s big day also came on his daughter’s birthday.

Lawrence completed 22 of 30 passes for 255 yards and threw three touchdown passes on Sunday, leading the Jaguars (13-4) to a 41-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans (3-14) at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.

Before the game, Lawrence celebrated his daughter Shae’s first birthday by showing up at the stadium in a special T-shirt as a tribute to Shae:

With his three touchdown passes in the first half, Lawrence set the franchise record for total touchdowns in a season (38). Lawrence now has 29 passing touchdowns and nine rushing scores. During the game, he also reached 4,000 passing yards on the season, the third time he has done that in his pro career.

The Jaguars had already clinched a playoff spot prior to Sunday’s game, but with the win over the Titans, they clinched the AFC South title and earrned a home playoff game. It marks the first AFC South title since 2022 for the Jags.

The red-hot Jags will head into the playoffs having won eight straight games and nine of their last 10 since their bye. Jacksonville will host the Buffalo Bills (12-5) in an AFC Wild Card Playoff at EverBank Stadium this weekend.

Sunday’s performance put a bow on what has been a big-time bounce-back regular season for the Lawrence. The 2021 No. 1 overall pick is enjoying a career year in his fifth NFL campaign. Following a 2024 season that was cut short by injuries, Lawrence entered Sunday’s game having completed 60.2 percent of his passes for 3,752 yards and 26 touchdown passes with 12 interceptions, while also rushing for 348 yards and nine more scores.
