A Clemson offensive lineman has hit the NCAA transfer portal.
Rowan Byrne has entered the portal, The Clemson Insider has confirmed.
Byrne appeared in one game as a true freshman this season. The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder played two snaps vs. Furman in his college debut on Nov. 22.
Byrne, who enrolled at Clemson last January, will have four years of eligibility left.
The Bronxville, N.Y. native was ranked as the top player in the state of New York by Rivals, which also ranked him as a four-star prospect and as the 17th-best guard in the country for the 2025 recruiting class.
Byrne was Clemson’s first signee from the state of New York since Noah DeHond in 2017. Byrne was a two-time all-league, all-county and all-state selection at Iona Prep.
