Clemson has landed an SEC transfer.
Former Auburn cornerback Donovan Starr has signed with Clemson, per multiple reports.
Starr, a four-star talent who signed with Auburn as part of the 2025 recruiting class, was also a Clemson target coming out of high school. He took an official visit to campus in June of 2024.
Starr appeared in nine games as a reserve in his debut season, with a lot of his time coming on special teams.
Coming out of high school, 247Sports ranked Starr No. 136 overall and No. 1 in the state of Tennessee. He had more than three dozen offers, with many of the nation’s best programs pulling the trigger.
Starr becomes the fourth portal player that Clemson has picked up in two days, joining Penn State transfer DB Elliot Washington II, Cal transfer LB Luke Ferrelli and Old Dominion safety Jerome Carter.
