Ahead of his visit to Clemson, one of the Tigers’ portal targets says the school is one of a few that already stand out.

Old Dominion DB Jerome Carter III named four schools that were standing out to this point, with Clemson, Louisville, Georgia Tech and Mississippi State each making the list.

Carter told The Clemson Insider that he would be on campus for a visit on Tuesday. He also said he still plans to visit Georgia Tech.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound defensive back was an All-Conference honoree as a sophomore in 2025 after logging 75 total tackles, two pass breakups and six interceptions.

Over his two years with the Monarchs, Carter appeared in 25 games, totaling 98 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, along with the six picks.
