Clemson’s ace pitcher has been named a preseason All-American.
Junior Aidan Knaak was named a second-team preseason All-American by Perfect Game.
The right-handed pitcher is 14-2 over his first two seasons with the Tigers with an ERA of 3.78. Across 173.2 innings pitched, Knaak has 218 walks to just 58 walks.
Knaak burst onto the scene in his debut year, turning in one of the best freshman seasons in Clemson history.
He’s a two-time First-Team All-ACC selection and became the first Tiger pitcher in history to earn First-Team All-ACC honors in each of his first two seasons. Knaak also became the fourth Tiger pitcher and first since Steve Reba (2001,02) to be a multiple First-Team All-ACC selection. He’s also just the 14th Tiger pitcher and first since Pat Krall (2016,17) to earn multiple All-ACC selections, and he’s a four-time ACC Pitcher-of-the-Week.
