Former Clemson OL Enters Transfer Portal Again

A former Clemson offensive lineman is looking for his next college destination.

Zack Owens has reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal once again.

Owens spent the 2025 season at Mississippi State. It marked his third college in as many years, as he played at Clemson in 2023 and Colorado in 2024.

Owens first entered the transfer portal in April 2024 after playing 13 offensive snaps in two games while redshirting in his first and only year at Clemson in 2023.

After transferring to Colorado, the 6-foot-6, 340-pounder played in 10 games during the 2024 season, primarily on special teams. He was a member of the Buffaloes’ field goal/PAT team for 51 snaps and saw the field for 11 offensive snaps.

As a redshirt sophomore for Mississippi State in 2025, Owens played in all 13 games and made 10 starts. According to Pro Football Focus, he had 70.6 pass block grade, a 53.2 run block grade and a combined blocking grade of 56.2, and per PFF, he allowed one sack, three quarterback hits, six hurries, 10 pressures and committed three penalties.

Owens is a former four-star and top-200 national prospect in the 2023 recruiting class from Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy (McDonough, Ga.).
