One of Clemson’s biggest recruiting events of the year is rapidly approaching.
The year’s Elite Retreat will be held on March 7, and the Tigers’ coaching staff would love a repeat of the success experienced at last year’s event. Clemson landed about half a dozen commitments from that weekend, including four-star wideouts Naeem Burroughs and Connor Salmin. Four-star offensive linemen Grant Wise, Chance Barclay and Adam Guthrie also announced verbal pledges during that event. Three-star corner Marcell Gipson jumped on board in the following days.
This year’s Elite Retreat is shaping up to be another star-studded affair, with the following names having already confirmed plans to be in attendance.
- Five-star LB Kaden Henderon
- Four-star WR Jamarin Simmons
- Three-star WR DJ Huggins
- Four-star OL Carter Jones
- Four-star OL Nate Carson
- Four-star OL Peyton Miller
- Four-star OL Reed Ramsier
- Four-star OL Sidney Rouleau
- Four-star RB Andrew Beard
- Four-star TE Jaxon Dollar
- Four-star DT Seth Tillman
- Four-star DE Rashad Streets
- Three-star DE Jayden Wuerth
- Four-star S Davion Jones
- Four-star S Jarrell Chandler
- Five-star DT Asher Ghioto*
*Ghioto is currently a member of the 2028 recruiting class, but is seriously considering reclassifying to 2027. For that reason, Clemson is recruiting him as if he were already a member of the 2027 class.
Expect every 2027 prospect already committed to the Tigers to also be on hand.
- Four-star QB Kharim Hughley
- Four-star WR Trey Wimbley
- Three-star LB Max Brown
- Three-star S Harrison Luke
- Three-star CB Christian Chancellor
With the event still more than six weeks away, there will certainly be more names added to the list. There will also likely be a name or two that falls off at some point. That’s just how recruiting goes these days.
