Priority Target Returning for Elite Retreat

The visitor’s list for the Elite Retreat continues to grow.

Four-star cornerback Jayden Aparicio-Bailey (Prattville, AL) tells The Clemson Insider he plans to be on hand for the event on March 7 after receiving a visit from head coach Dabo Swinney and corners coach Mike Reed on Tuesday.

The pair visited with Aparicio-Bailey at his school. Members of the South Carolina and Missouri coaching staffs were also in to see him on Tuesday. Auburn, Alabama, Texas, Vanderbilt and Ohio State are some of the other schools to have visited with the talented prospect. Last weekend, he visited Florida for its junior day.

While both of the major recruiting services list the 6-foot-2 defensive back as a safety, the Tigers are recruiting the blue-chip talent as a corner. Aparicio-Bailey worked out at camp last summer, where he picked up his offer, then returned for the season-opener against LSU.

“They stack up pretty well. They are definitely strong in my recruitment,” Aparicio-Bailey said of Clemson during a previous interview. “I am definitely looking forward to continuing the process with them.”

In total, he has more than two dozen offers, with Rivals ranking him No. 76 overall and No. 2 in the state of Alabama.
