National Publication Makes Postseason Projection for Clemson Baseball

Clemson is set to begin the 2026 baseball season next weekend, as the Tigers will welcome Army to Doug Kingsmore for a three-game weekend series beginning on February 13.

Erik Bakich enters his fourth season as head coach, as he looks to lead Clemson to its first appearance in the College World Series since 2010.

The Tigers have hosted a home regional in each of Bakich’s first three seasons, advancing to the Super Regional round in 2024.

With Opening Day just over a week away, Baseball America has released its postseason projections for 2026, and the national publication has the Tigers going on the road for postseason play.

Clemson is projected as the No. 20 overall seed, while playing in the Fayetteville (AR) regional. Arkansas is slotted as the No. 14 overall seed. UC Irvine is projected as the three-seed in the regional, with Fairfield as the four-seed.

The ACC is projected to get four regional hosts, with Georgia Tech being the No. 4 overall seed, North Carolina at No. 7, Florida State at No. 10 and Virginia as the No. 13 seed.

Clemson, who went 45-18 last season, comes into the season ranked No. 17 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and predicted by ACC media to finish fifth in the league standings.
