One of Clemson’s top targets in the 2027 class has already locked in plans to give Clemson one of his official visits.

Four-star Carter Jones (Poquoson, VA) tells The Clemson Insider that he will be on hand for the big official visit weekend, May 29- 31. As previously reported, Jones also plans to attend the Elite Retreat on March 7.

“I am really excited to meet the other recruits that they are really hard after,” he said. “I know most of them, but I am excited to spend this time with them and excited to meet the players. And the coaches, of course.”

So far, it is the only official he’s scheduled. With Dabo Swinney only hosting officials that one weekend in the summer, Jones went ahead and locked that one in early.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pound lineman picked up one of the Tigers’ opening offers last June and has been on campus several times already.

Jones recently released a Top 10 that includes Clemson, Tennessee, Ohio State, Virginia, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Penn State, Texas and Florida. 

247 ranks him No. 219 overall and No. 3 in the state of Virginia.
