QB of Future Will Visit Multiple Times In Coming Months

Clemson got its quarterback on board early on in the 2027 recruiting cycle.

Four-star Kharim Hughley (Gainesville, GA) committed to the Tigers last July and continues to be fully locked in. The 6-foot signal caller then visited for every home game last season.

As previously reported, Hughley will be back on campus for the Elite Retreat on March 7. With Chad Morris not out on the road recruiting, that visit will be the first chance the quarterback will have to meet the Tigers’ new offensive coordinator in person.

“I have trust in Coach Swinney, and I know he made the right hire,” Hughley recently told TCI. “I can not wait to get up there, meet him, and get more in-depth about the offense.”

Hughley has now locked in plans to be on hand for the big official visit weekend set for May 29-31.

As a junior, Hughley helped guide his high school team to an appearance in the 5A state title game in Georgia. While they fell short of winning it all, Hughley was a big part of the success that led to a 12-win season, throwing for 2,456 yards with 33 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also rushed for 379 yards with eight more scores via his legs.

Hughley ranks No. 112 overall in the Rivals Industry Rankings and as the eighth-best quarterback in the 2027 class.
