4 Tigers Ranked among Top Prospects Entering NFL Combine

CBS Sports ranked the top five prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft class at each position entering the NFL Scouting Combine, which is set to get underway this week in Indianapolis.

Four Clemson players are ranked among the top five draft prospects at their respective positions, including two on offense and two on defense.

On the offensive side of the ball, Clemson’s Cade Klubnik is ranked as the No. 4 quarterback prospect, ahead of Penn State’s Drew Allar at No. 5.

Klubnik is ranked behind LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier at No. 3, Alabama’s Ty Simpson at No. 2 and Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza at No. 1.

At offensive tackle, Clemson’s Blake Miller is ranked No. 4, ahead of Arizona State’s Max Iheanachor at No. 5.

Miller is ranked behind Utah’s Caleb Lomu at No. 3, Utah’s Spencer Fano at No. 2 and Alabama’s Kadyn Proctor at No. 1.

“After those three, there’s a drop-off in proficiency, but not in athletic traits,” CBS Sports’ Mike Renner wrote. “Both Blake Miller and Max Iheanachor are high-end athletes whose tools are easy to get excited about. They both fall into the more developmental tier, though.”

On the defensive side of the ball, CBS Sports ranks Clemson’s Peter Woods as the top defensive tackle prospect entering the NFL Combine, ahead of Texas Tech’s Lee Hunter, Ohio State’s Kayden McDonald, Auburn’s Keldric Faulk and Georgia’s Christen Miller.

“Peter Woods is the most quintessential 3-technique of the group,” Renner wrote. “His burst off the ball and strength to shed blocks make him a capable defender against both the run and pass. I just wish he had more tricks at his disposal to defeat blocks after a down year on 2025 tape.”

Meanwhile, Clemson’s Avieon Terrell is ranked as the No. 2 cornerback prospect, behind only Tennessee’s Jermod McCoy.

“While he’s not my top corner because of his size, my favorite corner to watch in the class is Avieon Terrell,” Renner wrote. “The younger brother of Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell plays with his hair on fire. He’s also a fearless hitter, forcing eight fumbles over the past two seasons. I think he could be a playmaker in the slot or outside depending on scheme.”

The 2026 NFL Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis from February 23-March 2, while the 2026 NFL Draft is set to take place from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.

Overall, nine Clemson players were invited to attend this year’s combine.
