Clemson Moves Up In Rankings After Rivalry Win

After taking two out of three over South Carolina this weekend, the Clemson Baseball team moved up in the latest Top 25 rankings.

The Tigers (10-1) have jumped up one spot in the updated D1 Baseball Rankings.

After being shut out 7-0 on Friday at Founders park in Columbia, the team’s first loss of the season, Clemson bounced back to take the next two games, giving the Tigers their third straight series win in the rivalry.

The Tigers have now won nine of the past 12 season series against the Gamecocks. Clemson has also won seven of the last eight games and 12 of the past 15 against their biggest rivals.

The ACC has seven teams in the rankings this week, with Georgia Tech being the highest at No. 5. North Carolina comes in at No. 8, NC State at No. 13, Wake Forest at No. 15, Florida State at No. 20 and Miami at No. 24.
