A prominent in-state prospect will return to Clemson today.
2028 running back Michael Martin II (Christ Church) tells The Clemson Insider he will visit for a spring practice on Monday and return for a second visit on Friday.
“Of course, spending time with Coach (C.J.) Spiller again,” Martin told TCI. “It’s been a while, so it’s going to be great to catch up with him. Seeing Coach (Dabo) Swinney is always great. I’m also looking forward to meeting Coach (Chad) Morris for the first time and Coach (Artavis) Scott. Being back on campus and just seeing the team practice and work. See how the new guys are adjusting. I’m looking forward to it.”
Martin’s Spring Schedule
- Clemson: March 4, March 6
- South Carolina: March 4, April 8
- Duke: March 26-27
- North Carolina: March 28
Martin visited several times last season, coming in for most home games. Duke, Syracuse, Wake Forest, App State and ECU are some of the teams to have already offered.
As a sophomore, Martin rushed for more than 1,400 yards, averaging 5.5 yards per carry and scoring 30 rushing touchdowns, while earning 3A all-state honors.
Prep Red Zone ranks Martin as the top 2028 running back in the state.
