Another Clemson Pitcher Out for Season

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The injury bug continues to hit Clemson. Another Clemson hurler is out for the season.

Freshman lefty Dan Margolies will miss the season after undergoing elbow surgery, The Clemson Insider has learned. Margolies joins fellow left-hander hurler Jacob McGovern as pitchers who won’t be able to go this season.

Margolies, who has already undergone Tommy John surgery in the past, had the internal brace procedure this time.

After a solid fall, Margolies was considered a guy who could have potentially helped the Tigers out of the bullpen in 2025. He was ranked No. 211 overall by Perfect Game coming out of high school and as the 20th-best left-handed pitching prospect in his class.
