Clemson linebacker Wade Woodaz posted strong unofficial marks in the 40-yard dash on Thursday, when Clemson Football conducted its annual Pro Day in the Poe Indoor Facility.
The 6-foot-3, 236-pound Woodaz recorded an unofficial time of 4.51 seconds on his first 40-yard dash attempt and then bettered that number with an unofficial time of 4.46 seconds on his second 40-yard dash attempt.
Woodaz has been a mainstay on the Clemson defense the past few years. After appearing in all 14 games as a freshman in 2022, Woodaz started five games as a sophomore. He has been a full-time starter over each of the last two seasons.
During his four-year career from 2022-25, Woodaz was credited with 217 tackles (28.5 for loss), nine sacks, 13 pass breakups, three interceptions (including one returned for a touchdown), four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt in 1,854 snaps from scrimmage over 51 games, including 30 starts.
Woodaz was a third-team All-ACC pick by Phil Steele in 2025, when he tallied 77 tackles (seven for loss), four pass breakups and a half-sack across 12 games (all starts). He finished second on the team in tackles.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney has called Woodaz — who contributed at both linebacker and safety during his career — “a baller.”
“He’s a fun guy to coach and a fun guy to watch play because he plays the way you want everybody to play,” Swinney said.
The 2026 NFL Draft will take place from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
