True Freshman QB Describes His Playing Style

Clemson is introducing all 15 of its midyear enrollees in a series of episodes on Clemson Football’s official podcast, 2 Right Turns.

One of the first early enrollees to appear on the podcast was Brock Bradley — one of the two quarterbacks signed by the Tigers in their 2026 recruiting class.

Bradley, who hails from Spain Park High School in Alabama, was asked to describe his game.

Along with Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, Bradley likened his playing style to that of current Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB and two-time Pro Bowler Baker Mayfield, the 2017 Heisman Trophy winner at Oklahoma.

“I know Coach Swinney kind of mentioned I kind of play like Baker Mayfield. He’s a guy I look to a lot to kind of model my game after,” Bradley said. “I think I’m a throw-first guy, but I can also beat you with my legs. I’ve worked on my speed a lot the past couple years. I wasn’t forced to run the ball a lot in high school, but I think that’s an underrated tool of my game, and look forward to showing Clemson fans what I can do on the ground as well.”

Bradley left Spain Park as the program’s all-time winningest quarterback, posting a 28-7 record as a three-year starter and engineering a school-record 17-game winning streak across the 2023-24 seasons.

Bradley completed 65.6 percent of his career passes for 7,694 yards and 87 touchdowns, while rushing 122 times for 334 yards and another eight scores. He threw for 2,930 yards and 32 touchdowns as a senior in 2025, guiding his team to a 9-3 record and a second-round playoff appearance.

A big part of who Bradley is as a player, he says, is simply his competitive nature. And he embraces the opportunity to compete with the other guys in Clemson’s quarterback room, which also includes redshirt junior Christopher Vizzina, redshirt freshman Chris Denson, redshirt senior Trent Pearman and fellow true freshman early enrollee Tait Reynolds.

“I truly feel like it’s wired in my DNA. … I truly just feel like it’s in my blood,” Bradley said of being a competitor. “I’m a true competitor at heart, and I feel like that’s such a big part of my game. I really pride myself in it, and at the end of the day, I just want to compete for the job. There’s nothing better than going head to head with other thoroughbreds, and we have such a talented quarterback room here at Clemson, and it’s been really good just to get around the guys. We’re all super close already, but I can’t wait to go head to head and go compete with those guys.”
