Top NC Tight End ‘Super Excited’ to Return to Clemson

.One of the top 2028 tight end prospects in the Tar Heel state is set to return to Clemson.

Henry Evans (Rolesville, N.C.) tells The Clemson Insider he will be attending spring practice on Wednesday of next week. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound tight end was last on campus for the Troy game last season.

“I’m super excited to be attending practice for the first time,” Evans told The Clemson Insider. “I can’t wait to see how they use their guys in different situations and watch them compete against one another. I’m super excited to see the well-sought-after culture that they bring to the table as a team. I’m looking forward to seeing their tight ends get after it and chopping it up with Coach Richardson and Coach Grisham. I can’t wait to be back in Death Valley.”

In nine games as a sophomore, Evans totaled 15 catches for 149 yards with three touchdowns. He was recently at Virginia Tech, and has spring stops scheduled with Kentucky, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Miami, Liberty, and Charlotte.

Prep Red Zone ranks Evans as the No. 1 tight end in the state of North Carolina in the 2028 recruiting class.
